How Seniors Celebrate National Social Media Day #alwayskeeplearning

Happy Social Media Day #markyourcalendar It seems there really is a “day” for everything nowadays. When looking at a calendar, it’s cluttered with all kinds of celebrations—some honor desserts, like Chocolate Chip Cookie Day (May 15); our book club enjoys National Read a Book Day (September 6); and you can bet we at Crane’s Mill are gearing up for National Bocce Day (August 13). So, when we looked at our calendar this morning, we weren’t surprised to see that today is a “day”…National Social Media Day, in fact. You might ask, what does National Social Media Day have to do …Read More »

A Summery Surprise on a Hot July Morning

The Crane’s Mill campus, a Certified Wildlife Habitat, combines the beauty of nature with the convenience of being close to everything. Earlier this morning, a magnificent, brightly-colored butterfly landed on a bush right outside of Towne Square. Thanks to my ever-useful camera phone, I was able to snap a photo before Mr. Butterfly had to continue on his way: Some research suggests that our new friend is most likely an Easter Tiger Swallowtail. Are we correct? If you’re a nature enthusiast and can give us some more info, please click here to send us an email. To see more of …Read More »
