Crane’s Mill residents and guests are teeming with excitement over the upcoming annual Horse & Buggy Holiday Cheer event! By invitation only, the event will include hot cocoa and holiday treats by the fire in Towne Square, which will be decked out for this festive season (truly, the decorations are amazing, they must be seen to be believed!). “Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!” That’s an easy song to sing when you’re relaxing in the hot tub or taking a morning water aerobics class in a heated, indoor pool! Yes, it’s a snowy day today here in West Caldwell, New Jersey. Yet, Crane’s Mill residents aren’t worried about shoveling snow or cleaning off their cars. It really is hard to believe that the warm weather months are gone, the leaves are falling and winter is on its way. The changing weather brings to mind one of our favorite resident-run programs: the Crane’s Mill greenhouse. Located in Towne Square just across from the library, the Crane’s Mill greenhouse holds a colorful collection of our residents’ plants and flowers so they can stay in top form all year long. Yesterday marked the first snowfall of the year here at Crane’s Mill in West Caldwell, New Jersey. Along with the beauty of the snow on the ground come a number concerns, specifically for older adults.
