Don’t Miss Breakfast with Santa and a Magical Horse and Carriage Ride – Saturday, December 14

Kick off the holidays at Crane’s Mill with this free Breakfast with Santa at our West Caldwell, New Jersey Retirement Community! Bring your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for their chance to meet Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, and their elves! Please be sure to bring your own camera for pictures with Jolly Old Saint Nick! Plus, take a horse-drawn carriage ride around our campus, play fun games, warm up with cocoa, and enjoy a holiday sing-a-long! Guests filled Hinman Hall for ‘Thanksgiving Unstuffed,’ a special cooking demo hosted by Crane’s Mill executive chef Dominic Ackerman. Chef Dom walked the crowd through unique ideas for holiday leftovers including Turkey Pot Pie Soup, Turkey Endive Salad, and Thanksgiving Frittatas. Fall Tour of Homes – This Saturday, October 5, 2019

The annual tradition continues at Crane’s Mill! Guests from all across northern New Jersey have grown accustomed to visiting Crane’s Mill each year to tour the community’s exceptional independent living retirement homes, the sprawling 48-acre campus, and our five-star rated Health Center. This year, a select few available apartment homes are on display. Guests will see homes that are move-in ready, and others that are waiting to be customized to your personal tastes! Lifelong Learning at Crane's Mill

Lifelong Learning Classes Offered for Crane’s Mill Residents

Each lecture is led by a local college professor who specializes in the given topic and visits Crane’s Mill for our residents’ benefit. Today, Crane’s Mill will residents begin the first of this season’s Lifelong Learning educational series. Consisting of six, two-hour lectures, the spring semester includes a variety of topics from history to the arts. The first lecture, presented by Drew University Literature professor Chris Nugent, will focus on “Arthurian Legends.” Residents will get take a scholarly look at King Arthur, the Round Table, and how these stories developed over the years. Crane’s Mill Residents Treated to Holiday Concert by West Caldwell Police Detective

Detective Mazzeo performed holiday favorites and provided info on keeping seniors safe from scams. Over 100 residents at Crane’s Mill Retirement Community in West Caldwell were treated to a festive holiday concert when Detective Paul Mazzeo of the West Caldwell Police Department shared his musical talents the evening of December 17. Combining traditional Christmas carols with stories and dialogue, residents were not only entertained but also educated about senior scams that target the elderly during the holiday season.
