Is there anything better than a summer clam bake? How about one that takes place at your home with a chef at the helm? That’s exactly what residents enjoyed at the community’s recent clam bake.

Executive Chef Dominic Ackerman and his staff put on a display cooking showcase as they prepared delicious whole lobsters right on the community’s back patio. Under a wedding-style tent, residents socialized while enjoying each delicious course, including steamers, cheddar bay biscuits, fun drinks, and more. Tables were even decorated with traditional checkered table cloths.

Off campus, Crane’s Mill “took Manhattan” during a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the Alice Neel exhibit “People Come First.” Residents loved seeing the artist’s trademark portrait style, along with other amazing works of art throughout the museum.

In addition to the city streets, residents enjoyed a splendid afternoon boat trip on Lake Hopatcong on the Miss Lotta. The delightful lunch, breathtaking views, and the captain and his friendly crew made for a fun afternoon cruise.

The outings, which included door-to-door transportation, were two of just over 200 planned programs this month. To see the
