Crane’s Mill Health Center Earns Five-Star Recognition from CMS

The Community’s Rehab and Long-Term Care Once Again Rank Highly for Quality Care, Staffing, and Health Inspections

“We did it again!” shouted excited Crane’s Mill nursing and rehabilitation staff members when learning of the community’s latest five-star rating from CMS, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.

The Crane’s Mill Health Center provides long-term nursing home care and short-term rehabilitation following a surgery or hospital stay. For many years running, the center has been highly rated and renowned for its care, services, dining program, and stunning 48-acre campus. Best of all, the care is open to everyone.

“You do not have to be a Crane’s Mill resident to enjoy the five-star care we offer,” explains Lisa Alfano, Director of Admissions for Crane’s Mill. “Our short-term rehabilitation and long-term care services are open to residents of any community. If you should ever have a hospital stay or a surgery, you can come to Crane’s Mill after to recover.”

The five-star rating is difficult to achieve and maintain. Within a 25 mile radius of the community, only one-third of nursing homes can claim the five-star designation. According to medicare.gov, the overall rating is based on a nursing home’s “performance on 3 sources: health inspections, staffing, and quality of resident care measures.”

“We are proud to share this exciting news, and invite anyone interested in learning more to schedule a tour,” continues Ms. Alfano. “It is best to take control of your future now, and decide on a nursing home or rehabilitation center that can care for you or a loved one should you ever have a planned or unplanned need for a higher level of care.”
