An interactive and uplifting seminar to acknowledge the essential and ethical role social workers bring to the elder in the long term and the community setting.

This course will assist social workers in the following areas: 

1. Learn ways to address personal and systemic barriers to optimal living for elders.
2. Understand the power of advocacy to assist with passing new laws and establish policies that give more people access to community services and benefits, improving the quality of life for everyone.
3. Review case studies that examine the professional code of ethics and advance the rights of the most vulnerable in society.
4. Learn new techniques in enhancing the essential role of social workers in the person-centered care model for elders.

This course, Essential Ethics & Energy of 2021, provided by Longtree & Associates, LLC, is pending approval for continuing education by the New Jersey Social Work Continuing Education Approval Collaborative, which is administered by NASW-NJ. CE Approval Collaborative Approval Period: March 31, 2021 through March 31, 2022. New Jersey social workers will receive 3 Non-clinical & Ethics CE credits for participating in this course.

This Longtree & Associates, LLC course is approved by the California Board of Nursing and accepted by the NJ Board of Nursing. Provider number CEP 15796 for stated number of 1 contact hour credits.

NYSED SW Provider #SW-0238 Longtree & Associates, LLC SW CPE #0238 has received approval from the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work to offer continuing education to licensed social workers, effective 6/16/2015 and approved through June 2021.
