This day trip to Lancaster, Pennsylvania, arranged through Elaine Tours, includes lunch at the award-winning Miller’s Smorgasbord Restaurant and a production of “Moses” at the famous Sight & Sound Theatre. Lancaster has long been a popular destination for visitors who are looking for a taste of Pennsylvania Dutch country hospitality.

Miller’s Smorgasbord
Family owned tradition of good food and exceptional service since 1929! This buffet-style eatery is a local institution, with views looking out onto Amish farm fields and enough food to sate any appetite. The spread here is lavish, with a good selection of Pennsylvania Dutch foods at the daily smorgasbord. Everything is cooked from scratch and supplied by local Amish farms. The menu consists of mouth-watering favorites as well as distinctive Lancaster County heritage dishes and freshly baked desserts. Buffet items include a carving station (top sirloin & turkey breast), baked ham with cider sauce, baked fish, golden fried chicken, chicken pot pie, potato stuffing, steamed veggies, chilled steamed shrimp, huge salad bar, broccoli salad, turkey salad, homemade soups and breads, apple butter, pepper cabbage, Swedish meatballs, grilled veggies, sautéed mushrooms, macaroni and cheese, buttered noodles, chow chow, baked cabbage, fresh fruit, apple pie, chocolate pecan pie, chocolate mousse cheesecake, bread pudding, ice cream, sugar-free desserts and much more!
“Moses” at Sight & Sound Theatre
A visit to Sight & Sound Theatre is truly a unique experience. Story, song and spectacular staging bring the Bible to life on stage. With professional actors attired in elaborate costumes, meticulously detailed sets towering up to 40 feet high, trained animals, unmatched special effects and memorable music, Sight & Sound shows inspire more than 800,000 guests every year. In “Moses”, the theatre’s premier show for 2014, visitors will journey back through time and relive the golden splendor and pride of ancient Egypt. Experience the parting of the Red Sea, the Burning Bush, the Plagues, the Ten Commandments, and witness the greatest Biblical epic of the Old Testament come to life on the Sight & Sound stage. Not only will you be completely immersed in the spectacular events of the story, you will experience the humanity of Moses and the children of Israel as they struggle for faith, freedom and belonging.

8:15am Motor coach arrival at Crane’s Mill (luxury motor coach with lavatory)
8:30am Departure from Crane’s Mill (rest stop en route)

1:45pm Departure from Miller’s – proceed to Sight & Sound (2:45 show time)
5:15pm Depart Lancaster – proceed home (rest stop en route)
8:30-9:00pm Arrive back at Crane’s Mill
