Crane’s Mill on the Move: Residents Take Trips, Stay Active All December Long
A Look at The MillStream, published monthly by our residents.
Each month, we enjoy reading the resident-produced MillStream newsletter. In addition to brimming with fun articles and and updates from around the community, the MillStream features a calendar complete with each day’s events and activities.
Included are such standards as daily exercise classes, weekly happy hour in The Cherry Blossom Lounge, and of course every Friday there is Trail Walking with the wonderful Mike Mazur.
You will also find special events and trips. For instance, just yesterday a group of residents boarded a Crane’s Mill bus en route to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for “Christmas in Lancaster.” Attendees enjoyed “a visit to the National Christmas Center, lunch at the famous Good ‘N Plenty and a Christmas Show at the American Musical Theatre.”
Next week, residents take a look back at Christmastime in Victorian Newark with a trip to the nearby Newark Museum. Also on the agenda this month: The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, The Paper Mill Playhouse, Lincoln in the movie theater and more.
While transportation is fully included to these events, there are a plethora of things to do right here at Crane’s Mill. In fact, every Thursday evening there is live entertainment in Hinman Hall, the community’s multi-purpose auditorium. Tonight’s program is “Classics of the Broadway Stage.”
