Staying Fit All Winter Long

January is a lovely site here at Crane’s Mill in West Caldwell, New Jersey. However, along with the beauty of the snow on the ground come a number concerns, specifically for older adults. We will cover many of these as the weather continues to grow colder, but for today, let’s focus on a fun escape from the snow: the Crane’s Mill “Horseneck Gym.”

Pictured here, and situated in Towne Square next to the heated indoor swimming pool, the gym is a popular destination for residents looking to stay fit, healthy and active. All of the equipment is geared specifically for seniors, using features such as hydraulics to ensure less impact on joints.

We have a personal trainer on staff who is available for contracted sessions. He is also on-hand Monday through Friday to assist with teaching residents how to use the gym’s equipment and answer questions.
