Overnight at Historic Hotel Hershey – Considered one of the finest Historic Hotels of America, Hotel Hershey is known for its refined elegance and signature service.  The 1930’s hotel, situated high atop a hill overlooking the town of Hershey, is a recipient of both the Forbes Four-Star Award and the AAA Four Diamond Award. You will have a World-Class Resort Experience.

3 Meals – Enjoy a Holiday dinner and musical show at the Hershey Lodge, plus an elegant buffet breakfast and buffet lunch in the beautiful Circular Dining Room at the Hotel Hershey. Enjoy magnificent panoramic views of the Hotel’s formal gardens while dining.

Pennsylvania State Capital Building– Take a guided tour of the Pennsylvania State Capital Building, a National Historic Landmark that has been designated as a Palace of Art.  Designed in a variety of Renaissance styles, such as American, French, English and Italian, the building features a grand marble staircase that was inspired by one in a Parisian Opera House.    Highlights include stunning stained glass windows, classic paintings and furnishings.  The 272-foot dome was modeled after St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome.

 “Christmas in Chocolate Town” – Enjoy a Holiday turkey dinner with all the fixings and a musical show at the Hershey Lodge. The event begins with caroling, punch, and light           hors d’oeuves and continues with a holiday turkey dinner and decadent dessert. After dinner, the lights go down and the show begins.  This interactive experience includes Top 40 holiday songs and features the traditions of Christmas.  It is sure to bring out the Christmas Spirit in everyone.

Hershey Sweet Lights –This is a Winter Wonderland Holiday Spectacular!   Driving through two miles of wooded trails, you can enjoy illuminated, animated displays from the warm comfort of your motor coach.

“Chocolate Town”: A Guided tour of Hershey– The story of Hershey begins with the tale of one determined pioneer. Learn how Milton Hershey overcame the odds to become not only one of America’s wealthiest entrepreneurs, but also the visionary builder of a town and philanthropist whose openhearted generosity still touches the lives of thousands.

Guided Tour of Founder’s Hall and The Milton Hershey School -A dream, a vision realized: Founder’s Hall is a unique and magnificent piece of architecture.  Unable to have children of their own, the Hershey’s decided to use their wealth to create a home and school for orphaned boys.  Learn about the history of the school as well as the values practiced by Milton and Catherine Hershey.

“The Hershey Story” at The Museum on Chocolate Ave.  – Learn about a living legacy and how Milton Hershey went from bankruptcy to brilliance on this self-guided tour. Learn how he invented a community and gave away his fortune…twice.  See how the power of promotion worked.  The museum offers interesting insight into Milton Hershey’s amazing journey from rags to riches.  Be fascinated, inspired and filled with wonder as you explore and learn about the man, the company and the town.

  • Payment is due by Monday, November 24th.   Please make checks payable to “Elaine Tours, LLC” and bring the check to Meredith in the Activities Office.
  • Rollator walkers are welcome on this trip, and travelers who use one are encouraged to bring it for comfort and safety. Travelers must be able to independently get on and off the bus and handle the minimal-moderate amount of walking.  There are places to sit down where walking is required.
  • Travel protection/cancellation insurance available upon request. Payment is non-refundable unless cancellation insurance is purchased. Please see Meredith for the insurance brochure that outlines the plan.
