Crane’s Mill Residents On The Move: Ogunquit, Maine

Residents at Crane’s Mill Retirement Community enjoy a full calendar of independent living activities, from on-campus fun to off-campus getaways. This Fall saw a trip to Vacationland!

From September 3 through 6, a group of Crane’s Mill residents, along with Director of Resident Programming Meredith Wu, took a lovely trip to Ogunquit, Maine.

Attendees of the trip stayed at the lovely Meadowmere Resort Hotel in Ogunquit. The weather was fabulous, and the group took tours of Portland, Old York Harbor and Kennebunkport, and saw many sights including the famous Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, and the Musical Wonder House. Plus, they enjoyed a cruise to a private island with a private lobster clambake! Another highlight included a performance of West Side Story, which was an excellent night of theater by all accounts.

Those who attended the trip enjoyed the fruits of Meredith’s detailed planning and preparation. Transportation, accommodations, meals and entertainment were rolled into one “all-inclusive” trip price, leading to a relaxing and worry-free trip for all.

Currently in Towne Square, there is a fun and colorful collage of photos from the trip, along with our favorite resident photographer’s personal quotes and comments. Here’s a quick look at the display:
