Course Objectives:

1. Gain an understanding about geriatric mental health that is necessary in order to ensure that the optimum care plan is developed
2. Define approaches to addressing behavioral health issues in the elderly
3. Ability to decipher the relationship of ethical mindfulness approaches to healthy aging and why it’s important.

This course is designed for Social Workers, LNHA, CALA  and RNs, beginning and intermediate, and other professionals who work with the elderly in the long term care setting. Course is pending final approval by the National Administrator Board; and the NJ NSWB and the Board Of Nursing.

Your presenter, Laurie Loughney, BA Psych, CSW, LNHA, CALA, CDP, AHM, is the Educational Director and Principal in Longtree & Associates, a healthcare seminar and education company.
