Inter-generational Homecoming Dance

If you happened to visit the Crane’s Mill Retirement Community in West Caldwell on Saturday, September 28, you may have been tempted to check your GSP or Google Maps to be certain you had the correct address. For several hours that afternoon, residents of the 5-Star retirement community, along with members of the James Caldwell High School Varsity Football Team and Cheerleading Squad, transformed the senior facility into Inter-Generational Home-Coming, complete with all the symbols and trimmings of a high school event.

In addition to hors-d’oeuvres and music that spanned several generations, the Home-coming included prom kings and queens from each generation. Those representing Crane’s Mill included:  Bruno Scrivo and Sidney Berman as prom king and queen, respectively; they were joined by Tyler Nolan and Gia Catrambone, their younger counterparts, representing prom king and queen of James Caldwell High School.

In keeping with a James Caldwell High School tradition, all of the members of the Varsity Football Team sported bleached blonde hair, symbolizing team spirit and brotherhood. A great time was had by all!
