Crane’s Mill Residents ‘Walk Across America’
This fun fitness challenge saw residents roam from West Caldwell, New Jersey, all the way to the west coast … and back!
Crane’s Mill took part in Walk Across America! Organized by Joanne Van Dien, the community’s exercise physiologist, this month-long challenge saw residents participating in various exercise programs, including walking, biking, cardio, strength training, swimming, and more!
Residents logged each session as 100 miles in their quest across the country.
“I was so happy and surprised by the participation,” shared Joanne. “About halfway through the month, we had residents who made it to California! We decided to have them “walk” their way back across the country. The big winner was on his third trip across!”
Since the community offers so many ways to stay healthy and fit, it’s no wonder that so many were able to cover so much ground in such a short period of time. From exercise classes and outdoor walking trails to a fully-equipped fitness center and indoor pool, there’s something for everyone to stay active all year long!
