Crane’s Mill Resident Wins Two Gold Medals at Senior Olympics

Join us in congratulating Crane’s Mill resident Lynne Palmer for earning two gold medals in the New Jersey Senior Olympics. The competition took place over the weekend of September 9 through 11 in Woodbridge, New Jersey.

Lynne won first place in the 50 meter and 100 meter races. She trained hard, competed with vim and vigor, and remained injury free.

Lynne and her husband Archie became Crane’s Mill residents in 2013, moving from Glen Ridge to a cottage in the West Caldwell, New Jersey retirement community.

In addition to athletics, Lynne is a nature enthusiast and accomplished artist who creates using watercolor and oil paints. She began to embrace her artistic side full-time after retiring in 2008 from a 40-year career as a social worker.

Her paintings are on display this month in the Richard Cass Gallery of the West Caldwell Public Library.

Congratulations Lynne on all your success, and good luck at next year’s national Senior Olympics competition!
