Charlotte Mandel “Alive and In Use” Book Signing
Charlotte Mandel, author and Crane’s Mill resident, held a discussion and signing of her latest book, Alive and In Use: Poems in the Japanese Form of Haibun. Haibun, a combination of prose and haiku, “includes a segment of prose followed by a 17-syllable poem.”
The author read selected works from the collection, with themes including love, loss, childhood, and nature. A brief question and answer session followed the reading, and the author stayed to sign books and discuss her work with the delighted audience members.
