Poem-Novella Reading: The Marriages of Jacob by Charlotte Mandel

Charlotte Mandel will read from the lyrics and tell the story of how she came to write this unusual book, of her research into biblical archeology, combined with her poetic imagination.

Books will be available for sale and autographing.

Charlotte Mandel has published eleven books of poetry. Her awards include a Lifetime Achievement Award from Brooklyn College, the New Jersey Poets Prize and two Fellowships in poetry from New Jersey State Council on the Arts. She has given readings at Folger Shakespeare Library, Princeton Arts Council, Manhattan Theatre Club, among many others.
