Crane’s Mill Hosted Program on Stroke Prevention and Treatment

Each month, Crane’s Mill plays host to lectures from top area physicians and medical experts to help educate our residents and members of the greater community. Crane’s Mill, a continuing care retirement community located in West Caldwell, hosted a medical seminar for its residents and those in the surrounding communities. Guest speaker was Shalini Bansil, MD (second from left), a stroke neurologist at the Atlantic Neuroscience Institute at Overlook Medical Center. Crane’s Mill Retirement Community in Essex County, New Jersey boasts a library stocked with periodicals, classics, technology and more! Recently, the Crane’s Mill Courier  blog covered the renovation of our Library and Gift Box. Located in Towne Square, both are completely run by our residents, and are popular spots for Crane’s Mill residents, their guests and staff members. Bountiful Harvest Food Drive at Crane’s Mill

Crane’s Mill Senior Living Community in Northern New Jersey Hosts Annual Food Drive Join Crane’s Mill residents and staff in helping support the New Visions Day Shelter in Camden, NJ. This year, Crane’s Mill is once again hosting a food drive in Towne Square to fill the shelter’s food pantry. The food drive is currently open, and runs through October 3, 2013. Those wishing to donate can bring non-perishable food and pantry items to the Towne Square Building at Crane’s Mill, 459 Passaic Avenue, West Caldwell, NJ, 07006. Crane’s Mill Resident Book Signing a Huge Success

Charlotte Mandel, a resident at Crane’s Mill Retirement Community in Essex County, New Jersey, hosted a full house in the community’s auditorium. Beth Sparling (left), Executive Director of Crane’s Mill in West Caldwell, congratulates Charlotte Mandel, a resident at the continuing care retirement community.  Mrs. Mandel was the featured speaker at a poetry reading and book-signing event held on September 18 at Crane’s Mill.  The author of eight books of poetry, Mrs. Mandel received the 2012 New Jersey Poets Prize, and two fellowships in poetry from New Jersey State Council on the Arts.  Her new book, Life Work, explores the …Read More »
