Pets Are Welcome at Crane’s Mill

Crane’s Mill is a Pet Friendly Community

Did You Know? Crane’s Mill Retirement Community in West Caldwell, NJ, gladly welcomes cats, dogs, and more in our independent living apartments and cottages.

Crane’s Mill welcomes pets in our independent living apartments and cottages.

When considering a move to a retirement community, people can be faced with a lot of decisions, like what kind of apartment or cottage should I choose, what contract type fits my budget, what personal belongings can I bring, and can I bring my pet?

Crane’s Mill has easy answers for two of those tough questions:

1. Consider a downsizing professional to help with your personal belongings. (In fact,we offer a move-in incentive to help new residents with their downsizing costs!)

2. If you have a pet, your furry friend is more than welcome in our community.

Many Crane’s Mill residents have cats, and there are even some dogs—we just ask that they are small dogs, and live on the first floor for easy access to our walking paths. In our cottages, which are freestanding from our main building, residents are welcome to have larger dogs.

Pets can be such wonderful companions. They can provide a warm, cuddly buddy while reading or watching TV, help to keep us on a regular routine, and even provide some exercise and activity when we take them on walks or have playtime.

Plus, according to multiple studies, there are measurable health benefits of pet ownership, including lower blood pressure and reduced stress, anxiety, and loneliness.

We do have some restrictions, so for full info on our pet policy, we ask that you please call us at 973-276-6700 or click here to contact us.
