Want a break from all the “Black Friday” hubbub? Take a moment to read this interesting history of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Did you know that when the giant balloons were first introduced, they were released into the air at the conclusion of the parade? Those who found and returned the balloons received a $50 reward from Macy’s—what a fun way to kick off the holiday season!

Today, like every Friday, is starting with a 9:00 am trail walking session lead by Trail Keeper Mike Mazur. Each week, the trail walkers complete with walking sticks and hiking gear explore our community’s 48-acre Campus, which is a Certified Wildlife Habitat.
