Crane’s Mill Residents Enjoy Active, Healthy Days with Friends While Northern New Jersey Faces Coldspell

While the Northeast copes with lows in the teens, Crane’s Mill residents enjoy highs with friends.

Enjoy a day full of fun ... and leave your scarf and gloves at home!

As late January rears it’s ugly head here in Northern New Jersey, our residents’ social lives are heating up! They are staying active, healthy and engaged with one another and the friendly staff here at Crane’s Mill.

This morning, our Activities Director lead a fun morning exercise class in Hinman Hall. Located in Towne Square, Hinman Hall is a short, indoor walk from every Crane’s Mill apartment, so it’s no wonder that the class was very well-attended.

At 10:30, one of our friendly drivers warmed up the Crane’s Mill bus and picked up a group of residents right in front of Towne Square for some general errands. In the cold weather, it seems everyone aims for the closest parking space in the lot, so there’s nothing better than being dropped off and picked up right at the front door of the bank, pharmacy or dry cleaner.

For lunch, the Heartwood Cafe offers just about anything you could want for a midday meal. A favorite today will likely be the Sweet Potato Soup. At dinnertime, specials include Rib-Eye Steak, Chicken Pot Pie and Asian Trout. No reservations are needed, and there’s never a wait for a table at the Candleberry. All of our dining venues are located in Towne Square, so there’s no need to go outside to enjoy restaurant-style meals with friends.

After dinner, the Lyrica Chamber Music Ensemble is performing live just for our residents in Hinman Hall.

Those looking for a little fast-paced action will likely watch the Devils host the Flyers this evening. There’s nothing quite like enjoying “the fastest game on earth” from the warmth and comfort of the Cherry Blossom Lounge. The Lounge features cozy furnishings and a mesmerizing fireplace along with friends, conversation and always a bit of fun.
