Awards Season—Who are Your Oscar Faves?

It’s cold outside here in New Jersey, but award season is heating up!

It’s award season, and with the 85th Academy Awards just around the corner, we thought it would be fun to take a look back at the 35th Academy Awards.

Do you remember 1963’s class of films and actors? 50 years later, one can reminisce and enjoy that these winners have stood the test of time.

Lawrence of Arabia was the year’s big winner, taking home 7 Oscars including Best Picture and Best Director David Lean.

Other top winners included Anne Bancroft and Patty Duke for Best Actress and Supporting Actress, respectively, for their roles in the riveting and inspirational The Miracle Worker. Best Actor went to Gregory Peck for To Kill a Mockingbird, and Support Actor to Ed Begley for Sweet Bird of Youth. (credit: imdb.com)

We have a bunch of film buffs living here at Crane’s Mill. Residents enjoyed many trips to the theater this past year and favorites include Lincoln, Les Mis and Argo among others.
